IPTA Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups (SIG) are designed to provide opportunities for members who share a specific professional interest. Each group provides opportunities to meet and participate in activities related to that specific interest.

Student Special Interest Group (SSIG)

IPTA's Student Special Interest Group (SSIG) provides a means by which physical therapist student and physical therapist assistant student members, having a common interest, may meet, confer, and promote the interest of its membership category in the Chapter and the Association. The SSIG helps studentsdevelop a professional network, optimize communication skills, strengthen their knowledge base, and refine their interests.

All student members of the IPTA are automatically enrolled in the IPTA Student Special Interest Group

Clinical Educators Special Interest Group (CESIG)

IPTA's Clinical Educators Special Interest Group (CESIG) serves as a resource, forum, and voice for members who have a common interest in academic and clinical education for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.

Any IPTA member in good standing in any of its categories of membership may be a member of the CESIG. Individuals who have a vested interest in physical therapy clinical education, but do not qualify for membership in the IPTA, can join the CESIG as an affiliate member.
