Poster Display Proposal Requirements

The Illinois Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) and the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association (WPTA) are currently accepting poster proposals on any topic relevant to physical therapy for display at the joint REVITALIZE 2020 Conference & Expo. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected based on the quality of the abstract and its relevance to physical therapy and the global interests of the PT profession.

For 2020, the posters will be displayed from noon Friday, April 24th until 4pm on Saturday, April 25th, with authors scheduled to be available for a Q&A session lasting approximately two hours on Friday from noon - 2pm. Posters need to be set up for display by 11:30am on Friday and can remain posted until the end of the conference at 5 pm Saturday.

Ready for a little competition?

For 2020, Friday's conference attendees will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the best display when they return their poster quiz.  Attendees will be encouraged to choose the best poster display based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific rigor of poster ( succinct and relevant intro, methods, data, results, discussion and conclusions?)
  • Poster layout (is the poster organized in such a way that it is easy to review?)
  • Statistics and data analysis (is it appropriate for the sample, research aims, and conclusions?)
  • The degree to which the poster presents novel information of relevance to physical therapy.

Awards will be given to the top 3 posters in rank order with winners announced at the Honors & Awards Reception Friday evening.

  • At least one of the poster authors MUST BE an APTA member in order to submit a poster proposal.
  • Poster abstracts that make endorsements, advertisements, or are determined to be a conflict of interest WILL NOT be accepted.
  • At least one of the authors must be able to attend and participate in the poster discussion on Friday, April 24th from Noon - 2:00PM.
  • The entire poster must be no larger than 40" x 60", oriented to landscape position. Clips/pins will be provided to mount poster on  the partitions.
  • Include three quiz questions (multiple choice) about your poster for inclusion in the CE quiz for conference attendees.
