Poster Proposal Requirements

We are currently accepting poster proposals on any topic relevant to physical therapy for display at IPTA's REVITALIZE 2018 Conference & Expo. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected based on the quality of the abstract and its relevance to physical therapy and the global interests of the PT profession.

For 2018, the posters will be displayed for the entire two-day event, with authors scheduled to be available for a Q&A session lasting approximately two hours on Friday from noon until 2 pm. Posters need to be displayed by noon on Friday and can remain posted until the end of the conference at 5 pm Saturday.

NEW FOR 2018:  Ready for a little competition?

This year, Friday's conference attendees will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite display by submitting a ranked order list along with their poster quiz.  Attendees will be encouraged to rank the poster displays based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific rigor of poster ( succinct and relevant intro, methods, data, results, discussion and conclusions?)
  • Poster layout (is the poster organized in such a way that it is easy to review?)
  • Statistics and data analysis (is it appropriate for the sample, research aims, and conclusions?)
  • The degree to which the poster presents novel information of relevance to physical therapy.

Awards will be given to the top 3 posters in rank order during the Awards Reception Friday evening, April 13, 2018.

  • At least one of the poster authors MUST BE an IPTA member in order to submit a poster proposal.
  • Poster abstracts that make endorsements, advertisements, or are determined to be a conflict of interest WILL NOT be accepted.
  • At least one of the authors must be able to attend and participate in the poster discussion on Friday, April 13, 2018.
  • The entire poster must fit onto a 40” x 60” foam-core board, oriented to landscape position. (An easel and board will be provided.) In addition, to your 40" x 60" poster, your poster findings will also need to be formatted so they fit in an 8.5" x 11" document for distribution to conference attendees. This document may exceed one page in length in order to accommodate all the information.
  • If accepted, include three quiz questions (multiple choice) about your poster for inclusion in the CE quiz for conference attendees.
  • Short bio statements and photographs for all poster authors

Your poster display number will be assigned to you onsite at registration. Poster Authors will receive 5 CE contact hours for your poster display and a discounted rate for conference registration.

You will be notified of the status of your proposal (accepted/declined) by no later than December 1st, 2017.

If accepted, you will receive an invitation to display your poster with display requirements.
