Ignite Your Physical Therapy Spark in Boston!

Boston, MA – a city rich in tradition and cutting – edge innovation will be the meeting place for thousands of physical therapy professionals and students for APTA’s 2017 NEXT Conference & Expo (June 21-24).

This leading-edge event offers trendsetting programming and original content from physical therapy’s legends and rising stars. From three days of educational programming to an exhibit hall filled with the latest in PT services – this conference is designed to ignite your physical therapy spark.

In addition to all of the CE programming, there are many events which keep attendees coming back year after year.

This year’s Mary McMillan Lecture is titled “Turning Over the Hourglass” where Richard K. Shields, PT, PhD, FAPTA will articulate why we are a successful profession composed of dedicated physical therapists who have had a positive impact in health care. Plus, the Catherine Worthingham Fellows Forum which discusses an important societal issue using a framework that includes perspectives on education, research, policy, law/ethics, and clinical needs.

Prior to NEXT, The House of Delegates (HOD) kicks off!

Delegates will convene for the annual House of Delegates Meeting (June 19-21) in Boston. During which time Delegates from across the nation will make decisions on issues that may have far reaching implications for the association and for the profession of physical therapy.

Furthering efforts to increase awareness of how professional policies are created, APTA will broadcast the 2017 House of Delegates online for APTA members. Members can view the broadcast on APTA’s livestream page. APTA members can access the House Packets to learn more about the motions by logging into the APTA's House of Delegates Community.
