Governor Signs SB653 into Law

This week, Illinois Governor signed SB 653 into law with an immediate effective date.

This new law ensures time-based services are covered by health insurance companies according to nationally recognized standards, including physical therapy and other health care services billed in time-based codes.

The IPTA will meet with BCBS of Illinois next week to receive an update on how they plan to manage this transition and we will share information as it becomes available.
