Enroll by June 30 to use APTA's Physical Therapy Outcomes Registry for your 2019 MIPS reporting

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has added physical therapists (PTs) to the list of providers in the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP). As of January 2019, PTs providing services under Medicare Part B who meet qualifying criteria must participate in either the Merit-based Incentive Payment Program (MIPS) or an Advanced Alternative Payment Model (Advanced APM).

While APTA accepts new enrollees in the Registry all year long, PTs who wish to submit data to CMS as part of the 2019 MIPS reporting year (which will determine the payment incentive or penalty for 2021) must indicate their intent to do so by enrolling in the Registry by June 30, 2019.
