Mark your calendars for TWO student hosted National Advocacy Dinners which are taking place this month!

National Advocacy Dinners are hosted throughout the country to encourage student advocacy and learn about legislative issues impacting the future of the physical therapy profession. These advocacy dinners provide a community-based forum, empowering students to learn how to engage and dialogue with federal and state policymakers on important PT issues.

On Friday, April 12th Governors State University and Fox College have partnered to host a dinner from 5-7pm in University Park. Come enjoy a great evening filled with food, friends, and presentations as you learn about advocacy and how it impacts your career! Learn from a group of panelist, which include IPTA members Jim Milder, PT (IPT-PAC Chair); Vince Gutierrez, PT and Ricardo Fernandez, PT. Click here to RSVP.

Questions on this NAD event? Contact: Kim Hicks, SPT at khicks3@student.govst.edu or Melissa Quiles, SPTA at melissabeck2323@yahoo.com.

Another National Advocacy Dinner will be taking place on Monday, April 29th at Rosalind Franklin University. The student coordinators for this event have invited Joe Hanley, PT (IPT-PAC Trustee); Brad Tracy, PT (Northern District Chair); Ryan Pawloski, SPT (SSIG President) and Representative Beth Coulson to discuss advocacy and legislative issues important to the PT profession.  Click here to RSVP.
