2019 General Assembly: Early Intervention Provider Rate Increase

The Illinois Development Therapists Association (IDTA) is working with Ounce of Prevention to promote legislation that would amend the Early Intervention Services System Act. Both HB 2191 and SB 1316 provide that, for State fiscal years 2020 through 2022, the Department of Human Services shall increase reimbursement rates for early intervention services and related services by 3% each State fiscal year; except that, for State fiscal years 2020 through 2022, the Department of Human Services shall increase reimbursement rates for developmental therapy services by 6% each State fiscal year.
While the IPTA agrees that an increase in rates is needed, we are disappointed that the IDTA has chosen to ask for more for themselves.  Both bills have been assigned to each chamber’s appropriations committees.
