THREE NEW IPTA Communities added Focusing on Skilled Nursing Facilities, Pediatric Private Practice, and Telehealth

Have you subscribed to join our “Direct Access in Practice” communities yet?

As mentioned in the lead article, members can find resources on implementing direct access in practice and collaborate with other members.

New communities focusing on implementing direct access in Pediatric Private Practice and Skilled Nursing Facilities have just been added.

Here is a complete list of our current Direct Access Communities:

To explore these communities, and other resources for the practioner, visit our Direct Access webpage found under the "Practice" drop down on the IPTA website. Please note you must be logged into the IPTA website in order to view and join these communities. One you are on the page - you may join the community by clicking "Join Group".

Telehealth

Telehealth is generally described as the provision of healthcare remotely by means of telecommunications technology. Earlier this year, the Illinois Telehealth Act was expanded to include physical therapist as one of the health care providers who may utilize telehealth into practice.

IPTA's telehealth workgroup has been busy. As last month's #THIRDTHURSDAY speakers, the group presented a 2 hour course focusing on "Telehealth: What You Should Know".

Now, the IPTA has launched the online telehealth community to help members understand the use of telehealth, laws governing, and billing/coding considerations.

Join the conversation by visiting: www.ipta.org/group/Telehealth.

The IPTA will continue to add more communities, materials, and resources as they become available.
