New Direct Access Communities!

Call for Motions

The IPTA is excited to roll out new online communities for which members may join to view tools and resources on implementing direct access in practice.

These communities are about helping IPTA members collaborate. They serve as a platform for you to explore, interact, and exchange ideas and resources relating to direct access in practice with your colleagues.

Our initial launch starts with the following practice setting communities:

How to join:

  1. Log into the IPTA website by using your username and password. Please note, that your username is your APTA member #.

  2. Once you are logged in – on the top of the screen, find the drop down menu labeled “PRACTICE

    Then click DIRECT ACCESS.

  3. From this web page you will then be able to select from a list of practice settings you are interested in joining.

  4. By clicking on the practice setting image, you will be brought to the group's home page. When accessing for the first time you will need to hit "Join Group" button found on the left corner.

The IPTA will continue to add more materials and resources as they become available.

Have you checked out IPTA's Dry Needling Community?

Our dry needling community is also available for members to join and provides information and resources on the practice of dry needling.

Included in this community are Frequently Asked Questions, Dry Needling resources, and a forum for member to member interaction.

Struggling to find a supervisor for your 200 supervised treatment sessions? The forum part of this community is a great platform for connecting members with general supervisors.

If you have already met the qualifications to include dry needling into your scope of practice, and are willing to supervise, please post your contact information in the forum titled "Are you qualified to provide general supervision?"

Click here to access the IPTA Dry Needling community, or type in into your search bar.
