Neuro PTs with experience working with AFOs needed for research focus group 0 M. Rafferty Dear Physical Therapists,   On behalf of Dr. Allen Heinemann at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, I am writing to invite you to participate in a research study, “Enhancing Quality of Orthotic Services with Process and Outcome Information” (Northwestern University IRB # STU00203034). This study seeks to describe orthotists’ and physical therapists’ preferences, priorities, and barriers to using quality measures for the care of AFO users.   Orthotists and physical therapists will participate in focus groups during which they discuss which patient-reported and performance outcomes to collect and any barriers to doing so with individuals who have experienced poly trauma or neurologic disorder, including stroke, and use an AFO. The focus groups will last approximately 90 minutes. Participants will be provided with lunch (or other snack depending on time of  day) and a $100 honorarium.   If you are interested in participating, please contact Jamal Spraggins, Research Assistant,, phone # is 312-238-4856.
