Why Get Involved?

Getting together with people with similar interests, who live in the same area, and face similar challenges is what we are all about – and from those great networking and learning opportunities come great conversations, fun activities, new friends, and you may even learn something new. One of the greatest benefits of the IPTA is the opportunity to get involved, participate, and learn updates on your professional association and profession within your district!

Interested in getting more involved in your district?

Each District's nominating committee will be collecting nominations (April 14 - May 14) of potential candidates for positions beginning January 1, 2019.

Take the first step. For a quick look at the open positions in your District, click here, where you can also fill out a short nomination form to submit someone's name, or even your own!

Introduce a non-member to the IPTA this month!

Introduce a non-member to IPTA this month! For every non-member, you bring to your May District meeting, you’ll receive one entry into the Membership Matters lottery!
For each of your guest(s) who become an IPTA PT, PTA or student member by June 30, 2018 you’ll earn an additional 5 entries!

The grand prize drawing will take place at the September 20th #THIRDTHURSDAY program!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Invite a non-member guest (or two or ten!) to your district meeting.
  2. Sign in and have your guest(s) sign in noting you are their host.
  3. The sign-in sheets will be sent to the Chapter office who will track your entries. If the Chapter receives notification from the APTA that your guest(s) have joined by June 30, 2018, we will add your additional 5 entries per new member!
  4. Encourage your guest to consider membership.
  5. Attend or tune in virtually to the September 20th #THIRDTHURSDAY to see the live drawing.

Good luck!
