"Case Studies of Complicated Hip Patients"

Earn 1 FREE hour of CE!

Join us for this month's Spotlight on Research Virtual Learning course as Anne Marie Bierman, PT, DPT, SCS presents her research on "Case Studies of Complicated Hip Patients."

Patients with hip pain often end up in the clinic. While most are appropriate for conservative treatment, a growing number would benefit from orthopedic referral and imaging. This Spotlight on Research will go through several case studies of actual patients, discuss rationale for why referral was made, then go through evidence-based post-operative progression of these patients.

Upon completion of this virtual learning webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize signs/symptoms of femeroacetabular impingement and when orthopedic referral is appropriate
  • Recognize signs/symptoms of gluteus medius tear and when orthopedic referral is appropriate
  • Recognize signs/symptoms of proximal hamstring avulsion and when orthopedic referral is appropriate
  • Discuss appropriate manual therapy treatment of hip patients and how it can affect outcomes
  • Describe common gait deviations of hip patients and treatment strategies to address
