In October 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will implement new rules that will significantly impact rehabilitation services in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). These change3s will only add to the already complicated method by which therapy services are recorded on the Minim Data Set (MDS). Providers and therapists may be required to make considerable changes to the way they document and coordinate care.
