Best Practice for Physical Therapist Clinical Education

At this year’s APTA House of Delegates, discussion took place about a report released earlier this year, Best Practice for Physical Therapist Clinical Education. We urge members to read this document as it addresses thoughts on the direction that future therapy students may experience. This document is the result of the efforts of a volunteer committee directed to review and make potential suggestions on how the education of our future therapists may develop.

The APTA will be holding several Town Hall Meetings about this subject and we encourage you to participate. This link will allow you to see the reports and the Best Practice Report can be found from page 42-58. 2017 Reports To The House Of Delegates.pdf

The IPTA will post the dates of the Town Hall Meetings in the coming months.

On behalf of the Illinois Delegation,
Jen Ryan, PT, DPT, MS, CCS, IPTA Chief Delegate
