Pursuant to SRA 0412/1-08 DPT Debt Burden and Employment, this task force will study the issues of hgh deby incurred by DPT program graduates during their physical therapy education and the consequent employment choices made by new graduates to pay their debt burden.

The Assembly of Representatives is the highest decision-making body in the IPTA. It is comprised of IPTA members in good standing who have been elected by their constituents to represent them at the annual Assembly of Representatives.

The Conference Advisory Panel helps plan and develop format and content for the Chapter’s annual Fall Conference and Spring CE meetings. Reviews proposals and abstracts for presentations and posters, invites speakers and attends annual conference to serve in a variety of capacities.

The Education Committee develops criteria for the review of continuing education courses provided by third party vendors. The Committee reviews work performed by staff and performs quarterly audit of CE applications.

The Ethics Committee provides advice and counsel to the Board of Directors on ethical issues, administers the Association's disciplinary process, and disseminates information on matters of ethics and professionalism.

This committee recommends to the IPTA Board candidates for the awards or special distinctions as may be directed to them by the Board or developed by the committee of Assembly of Representatives. The final selection of the recipients of these distinctions shall be made by the Board of Directors.

The Finance Committee advises the Board on matters pertaining to the Chapter’s financial needs, growth and stability based on periodic review of income, expenditures and investments.

The Government Affairs Committee is involved in advising on the association’s legislative strategy and its implementation.

The Membership Committee looks critically and comprehensively at issues of member relations. The committee develops messages to members and the public. The committee provides strategic suggestions to the IPTA Board on membership needs, retention and recruitment, and provides an ongoing assessment of membership needs, trends and demographic changes.

The Nominating Committee solicits nominees to run for Chapter offices. Nominations are compiled and reviewed by the Nominating Committee to confirm eligibility. The Committee reviews consent to serve responses and biographical information to prepare the slate and/or to solicit additional candidates. The Nominating Committee receives the results of the election and informs the candidates.

IPT-PAC (Illinois Physical Therapy Political Action Committee) is a political action committee. It raises funds for and provides financial assistance to, public officials who actively support the PT profession.

The Editorial Board provides insight and evaluation of the editorial content of PT Priority to the Editor. The PT Priority is managed by an Editor with the advice of an Editorial Advisory Board. The Editorial Advisory Board serves as writers and reviewers of articles submitted for consideration of publication.

The Reimbursement Committee assists IPTA members with issues related to third party payment. The commitee also provides advice and counsel to the Board of Directors regarding activities or policies that can enhance the position of physical therapists in Illinois in current or in future reimbursement environments.
