The Illinois Physical Therapy Association is proud to be a 2017 Silver Sponsor & Ambassador for Global PT Day of Service (October 14, 2017).

Treating at a pro bono clinic. Working in a soup kitchen. Cleaning up a park... No matter where or how, we have the ability to positively impact change. Whether we call ourselves 'Physical Therapists' or 'Physiotherapists,' service embodies who we are, what we do, and how we act. Become a part of PT Day of Service™ as we join together to better the world!

This year's theme for PTDOS is TRANSCEND. We want to transcend our profession and society by inviting community members and leaders, friends and family, and other disciplines to serve alongside us.  Imagine the positive change that can be created when we come together for a common purpose.

The IPTA is encouraging PT clinics/ hospitals/ schools throughout the state to promote the collection of goods (October 9-20th) to donate to a local pantry of your choosing.

How you can participate:

  • As a clinic/hospital/school:
    • email ipta@ipta.org and let us know if your location will be a collection site for goods and what local pantry the goods will benefit. We will help promote your collection site through social media, newsletters, and on our website. (Clinics will be responsible for collection as well as delivery to the pantry).
    • Organizations/Universities can pledge to be a sponsor of PTDOS.

  • As an individual:
    • drop off your donation to any of the collection sites listed below.
    • Individuals can sign up as participants of PT Day of Service
