CE Information and Instructions guidelines will answer all of your questions regarding the continuing education approval process.

There are two types of applications for course approval.

Traditional Continuing Education Course Offering application is for CE providers who would like to offer courses delivered via live classroom demonstrations, lectures, power-point presentations and labs where participants are on site at the time of the course delivery. 

Self-Study Continuing Education Course Offering application is for CE providers who would like to offer courses delivered via written correspondence study, interactive audio and/or video, computer and other electronic technologies.  Processes for self-study may be in "real time" such as an instructor-led event delivered by electronic media or involving access of learning resources by learners at any time.  If your course has both traditional and self study components, choose the self study application.  The Criteria for Approval of Continuing Education Offerings is included when you download each of the applications. It will assist you in assuring that the appropriate documents accompany your application when applying to IPTA.  This helps with the smooth and timely approval of your course. 

Already have an IPTA approved course?

CE providers who are adding program dates to a course that has already been approved or renewing a course whose expiration date has lapsed can use our easy forms..

Additional Dates form is a quick way to notify IPTA of your newly added course dates. Renewal Application form will allow you to renew your previously approved course without resending the original documents.
