IPTA Community
The Illinois Physical Therapy Association is a community of like minded individuals who connect to advance physical therapy practice in Illinois. Benefiting both the individual and the profession as a whole, IPTA members make a difference in our community.
In today’s busy world, it’s often hard to connect with your colleagues outside your practice. IPTA makes those connections easier with district meetings, email list serves and year long continuing education events. Our fall annual meeting is the largest event offered by the Chapter, allowing you to earn CE hours for your professional development and to comply with licensure laws, and to meet with your colleagues from around the state. Despite the world becoming smaller with online resources, it’s still important to have personal relationships with your colleagues. In order to get the most from your membership, be sure that you are part of the IPTA community.
We’re also planning an online community, focused around your area of specialization or type of practice. These online communities will be defined by our members. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity that doesn’t require traveling, this may be an opportunity for you. Just complete a volunteer application (pdf) and let us know you are interested in being an online community volunteer, and what area you are interested in.
